We are very pleased to announce that the launch of Transform Scotland’s latest campaign – Inter-City Express – has received widespread media attention. The campaign calls for an urgently needed upgrade to the country’s rail network if we want to make it fit for the 21st century. This has prompted a response from Transport Scotland acknowledging the benefits of a continued programme of rail electrification and committed to developing a strategy to identify future phases of electrification beyond current schemes.
